Route 147/225 Sidewalk Project–In a joint effort project between Halifax Borough, Halifax Township, and PENNDOT, via the TAPS program, new curbing and sidewalk will be installed from Rise Street in Halifax Borough south along the west side of Fourth Street/Peters Mountain Road to the area near Hoffman Road. This safety enhancement is designed to address the numerous residents and/or students that walk along the highway to get to school, jobs, and retail stores. The project will provide storm water drainage damage correction (from erosion) along it’s length as well as enhance property owner’s road frontage along the route, increasing property value. Project 99% complete
